Charles Freeman is a fine art photographer whose work blends timeless elegance with a contemporary vision. Drawing inspiration from French architecture and interior settings, his large-format aluminum prints capture sophisticated compositions that resonate with collectors and design professionals. His atelier, which includes a private gallery open by appointment, serves as the hub for these photographic editions.
A graduate of Pratt Institute in NYC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design, he also earned a Connoisseur’s Certification in Fine and Decorative Arts History from George Washington University. Freeman’s education is further complemented by advanced studies in museum conservation and fine art appraisals, conducted in conjunction with the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and Sotheby’s Institute in London. His multifaceted background in fine art, design, and curation informs his evolving photographic practice, where the precision of a designer, the depth of an artist, and the perspective of a curator converge.
Freeman’s career has spanned various disciplines, including exhibiting his artworks at The National Arts Club in NYC, ARTEXPO New York, and Breteau Gallery in Palm Beach. He has also curated museum exhibitions at venues such as the Forbes Magazine Galleries in NYC and the Bass Museum of Art in Miami. In addition to his fine art practice, Freeman has worked as a high-end private and commercial interior designer and also served as a showroom manager for Roche Bobois in Palm Beach, the world’s leading producer of custom home furnishings—further honing his expertise in visual composition and spatial design.
